MULTIPLE TONGUE:
Double and Triple Tonguing

Multiple tonging is a technique brass players use to articulate passages that are too fast to use the normal single tongue; an example would be sixteenth notes at a tempo faster than quarter note = 120.  There are two types of multiple tongue:  double tongue (for duplets) and triple tongue (for triplets).
